What’s Your Story?

We ALL have a story to tell; a unique story that only we can tell, and no one else; a story that can and will -- through its weaving plots and characters, its tragedies and triumphs -- heal the soul of humanity and shed light upon the darkest of corridors.

IMAGINE the Possibilities

If you could change the world with a single story,
would you write that story?

You Can Do It!
Imagine...Write...Change!

The REAL POWER of IMAGINATION
comes from YOUR HEART!

Partners Again Creative Writing Foundation:

Building strong personal, familial, and societal foundations through the powers of imagination and the empathetic art of creative writing.

Mission:

By virtue of the powers of imagination, the Partners Again Creative Writing Foundation seeks to teach principles of analytical forethought, innovative storytelling, and honest self-criticism in order to enrich the lives of its participants; strengthen the bonds between self and family; and ennoble the society in which we live.

Goals:

1. To bring in storytellers from various creative mediums (music, art, film, photography, but especially writing) to teach workshops to children and their families in order to help them cope with problems at home. While all children will be welcome, scholarships will be offered to those children in need, including but not limited to: those having dealt or dealing with parental separation or divorce, abuse, extreme poverty, foster care, time in a juvenile correctional facility or the like, long term illness, etc. Through the power of imagination and the creative writing process, they will learn tools to help them deal with and heal from their pasts; develop empathy and cope with their present problems; and strengthen their family and relationships for a better future. Writing kits, supplies, and one-on-one tutorials will also be presented to children unable to attend (i.e. those confined to hospitals or correctional facilities).

2. This foundation also believes it is vital for kids to enjoy visits from authors. Therefore, the PACWF will fund author visits to schools with proven limited resources.

3. Lastly, the PACWF will offer college scholarships to graduating seniors with limited resources, who have proven academic excellence, and who also exhibit a superior talent for writing and/or self-expression through the arts.

"If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost. That is where they belong; now put a foundation under them.”
Henry David Thoreau

“A man, to be greatly good, must imagine intensely and comprehensively;
he must put himself in the place of another and many others;
the pains and pleasures of his species must become his own.

The great instrument of moral good is the imagination.

Percy Bysshe Shelley, A Defense of Poetry
